Top Marks for Minster Nurse
Congratulations to Helen Gibson, who gained the joint highest score in the country in her written nursing exams. Helen qualified this summer and in recognition of her achievement was awarded an engraved watch and £300 in CPD vouchers by the pioneering small animal vet, Noel Fitzpartick at the recent British Vet Nursing Association Congress.
Helen joined the practice in 2005. She has a particular interest in medical cases and intends to pursue this aspect as well as getting involved in training junior nurses and clinical coaching.
Gaining this recognition should not be underestimated, as it involves considerable work from the individual while continuing to do their day to day work in practice. Training takes place in house and in six, two week modules at college over a two year period.
