Alastair graduated in 1983 from Glasgow University. He joined the practice in 1985 following 2 years at Liverpool University. In 1989 he became a Partner in the practice. In 2003 he was elected President of the British Poultry Veterinary Association. He also serves on various national advisory clinics. In 2008 Alastair moved away from clinical work to develop the training department.
In October 2011, Alastair will be re-joining the poultry department in York part-time, whilst continuing to run the training department.
Keith Warner

Joined the practice in 1997 immediately after graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in Veterinary Pathology as well as his Veterinary Degree. He became a director in 2005. In March 2010 Keith was nominated Junior Vice President of the British Veterinary Poultry Association. He’s also on the organising committee of the Egg and Poultry Industry Conference.
Michael Clark

Michael Clark MA, VetMB, MRCVS
Graduated in 1992 from Cambridge University. He joined the practice in 1996 after four years working in Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. In 2000 he became a director. Michael is a special lecturer in poultry medicine at Nottingham Veterinary School chairman of the NFU Poultry Disease Board and chairman of the East Midlands Poultry Discussion Group.
Sara Perez

Sara Perez DVM, MSc, CertPMP, MRCVS
Graduated in 1998 from Barcelona University. She completed a Master of Science in Bristol University and joined the Practice in 2003 after 5 years of farm and meat hygiene work. Sara holds the RCVS Certificate in Poultry Medicine and Production and became a director in 2010. She is the veterinarian that represents the British Veterinary Poultry Association at British Veterinary Association meetings.
Kath Gillett

Graduated from Bristol University in 1995. Joined the practice as a part time poultry veterinarian in 2005 after working in general veterinary practice throughout Herefordshire and Dorset.
Catherine McVicar

Catherine McVicar BVMS, MSc, MRCVS
Catherine has extensive experience in general practice, the pharmaceutical industry and in government in animal health and meat hygiene, both within policy units and in the field where she was most recently senior investigation officer at the VLA surveillance laboratory. She is currently the President of the Association of Government Veterinary Officers and also represents this organisation within the European Association of State Veterinary Officers.
Christian Blake-Dyke

Christian graduated in 1997 from The Royal Veterinary College in London. He worked in mixed practice and as a lecturer for some years before joining DEFRA in 2005. In 2011 he joined the poultry team in the Hereford office.
Holly Simms

Holly Sims Graduated from The University of Liverpool in July 2010. She joined the Minster Vet Practice in November 2010 and works in the farm and poultry departments. While at University Holly relief milked on farms every weekend and lambed on sheep farms from December to April. She now keeps a small flock of Texel sheep and also has a Bronze Shearing certificate. Holly attends local shows with commercial beef and her Light Sussex bantams. When not sorting out her stock she enjoys growing vegetables and playing Hockey for her home team Garstang Ladies, she is a keen member of YFC and especially enjoys stock judging.
Richard Jennison

He graduated in 1997 from Edinburgh University. After a period in mixed practice in Bridlington and small animal Practice in Hull and Essex, Richard joined the Practice in 2006. He holds RCVS Certificates in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law and Laboratory Animal Science. He became an associate director in 2010.

Graduated in 2000 from Zargoza university. Joined The Minster Veterinary Practice in 2007 after 6 years working within the meat industry. She became a lead external auditor for ISO 9000 Standards in 2006.
Anne Abbs

Anne Abbs BVSc, CertVPH, MRCVS
Anne obtained her white meat OV qualification in 1997 and worked in chicken (including spent hen and broiler breeder) and turkey slaughterhouses; she also did wild game OV work including pheasant, partridge and wild ducks. Her interest in wild birds and poultry medicine and production resulted in Anne leading the poultry department in Dalston in 2011.
Leni Corrand

He qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Tolouse, France in 2008. After completing a Master in Food Safety he rejoined the University as a Lecturer in Poultry medicine and started the European Certificate in Poultry Science in 2010. He joined Minster in 2011
