We are pleased to announce our NEW Poultry Progress courses which will take place throughout the UK from Autumn 2015 - Spring 2016 with further dates to be announced shortly for the Cumbrian area. Our expert trainers are highly experienced poultry vets and the courses will cover a wide range of health, welfare issues along with biosecurity, vaccination training and some of the courses can be delivered in Polish.
Both the broiler biosecurity and welfare workshops are accredited and go towards the Poultry Passport scheme. Poultec will be delivering the Health and Safety, Environmental Awareness and Manual Handling modules which are also a pre-requisite of the Poultry Passport scheme details of which can be found here. We have also added some new short courses which include food hygiene and basic bird welfare and updated all the topics in our current courses.
The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) are due to implement new rules in the purchase and use of professional rodenticide baits in the near future. In readiness for this new legislation, in which you will need an approved Rodenticide certificate to be able to buy professional use second generation anticoagulent rodenticde (SGAR) products we have organised an all day course in Ossett on the 3rd November. If you book your place before the 30th September 2015 you will receive 10% off the cost of the course. Further dates will be announced in the new year for other areas of the country.
